Message from the conference chair

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the second edition of IEEE 2020 Latin American Electron Devices Conference (LAEDC) we are honored to welcome you to San Jose. LAEDC is a collocated event with LASCAS 2020 – 11th IEEE Latin American Symposium on Circuit and Systems. LASCAS is the flagship conference of the IEEE Circuit and Systems Society in Latin America.

LAEDC will take place in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica from 25th - 28th February 2020. The city is located in the central region of the country, a strategic place nearby Juan Santa Maria International (SJO) Airport, where major government institutions, public universities, and industry converge in a metropolitan area with over two million people.

The conference will be geared for students as well as young researchers and is co-sponsored by the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS). Its main goal is to bring together specialists from all Electron Device related fields. We are convinced that thanks to your significant accomplishments your presence will significantly add to the value of this growing conference.

We hope that you enjoy the conference and have a pleasant stay in Costa Rica.

LAEDC is a conference cosponsored by the IEEE Electron Device society. Its main goal is to bring together specialists from all Electron Device related fields. The second LAEDC edition will take place in San Jose, Costa Rica, and it will be co-located with LASCAS.

Proceedings will be published by IEEE and the accepted papers will be available on IEEE Xplore. The best papers presented in the conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Journal of the Electron Devices Society

San Jose is the capital and the seat of the national government of Costa Rica, located in the center of the country it is one of the safest cities in Latin America. In 2006 it was appointed the Ibero American Capital of Culture.

San José is one of the most popular destinations, it is the pentrance to the multiple tourist attractions in Costa Rica, including the tropical jungle, imponent volcanos and magnificent beaches,

Social Activities: Besides the technical program, a welcome reception and a gala dinner are planned. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit several tourist attractions.
